Formed by executives hailing from Blizzard, Sony Online and Relic Entertainment, and backed by NCSoft in their first round of funding. Their first order of business should be a better web site.

But if the loudest voices in the Call of Duty “community” act like an angry mob instead, guess how the entire world views Call of Duty?
While the majority of gamers don’t act this way, they are often times the ones most heard. It’s also why the gaming community can’t be taken as a whole so often. It’s that angry mob mentality that is the first to stand out to any non or even casual gamer. I was turned off of League of Legends for this very reason. While most may be nice people to play with,
In Wake of Atari’s bankruptcy auction, Master of Orion and Total Annihilation managed to get snapped up by Wargaming, with Rebellion Interactive grabbing Moonbase Commander and Battlezone, and Stardock bought Star Control. Interesting to note that Chris Taylor, designer behind Total Annihilation works at Gas Powered Games, which was acquired by Wargaming earlier this year.

Say hello to Replica. Blogging platforms have been so busy trying to copy each other, there really haven’t been any other platforms that really fit what I needed. It borrows features from other platforms, and leaves out the ones I don’t need. At it’s heart, is a simple dashboard for creating and editing posts, built on top of Django web framework and written in Python. Anything can easily be edited. But what really makes Replica stick out above others? Lets take a look at some of the features I
EA was quick to put out a blog post they will continue to make college football games, just not under the NCAA name anymore.
NCAA will not renew EA Sports contractThe NCAA has made the decision not to enter a new contract for the license of its name and logo for theNCAA.org
Creative Directer Ocean Quigley, Gameplay Lead Dan Moskowitz, and Lead Architect Andrew Willmott have left EA/Maxis to form an indie studio, Jellygrade. An interesting move, but Im going to remain skeptical for the time being. Forming a studio to develop an iPad game just seems like a bad move with the shape of the current market.

Riot Games eSports manager Nick Allen:
This was a lengthy process; we had a lot of people fighting for this and it wasn’t something that happened overnight. This was a constant back and forth of ‘show us more proof… is this realistic?’ and that sort of thing. Eventually it got to the point where they were like ‘we have no reason to say no… okay, this is legitimate’.
The U.S. Now Recognizes eSports Players As Professional AthletesTo the general public, the idea that those who play video g
I never followed Gamespot when I was younger, so I never really knew who people like Ryan Davis or Jeff Gerstmann were. It wasn’t until 5 years ago during GiantBomb’s inception that I began to take notice.
For those five years Ive been a fan, not just of GiantBomb, but of Ryan Davis as well. Every Pax I would always make a point to catch their panels. I even had the opportunity of meeting him once. Our encounter was brief. I doubt he would even remember me, but I’ll never forget him. While si
What Would Molydeux, affectionately referred to as “Molyjam,” is a 48 hour game jam inspired by the works of @petermolydeux, a loving parody of the legendary Game Designer, Peter Molyneux.
While I won’t officially be participating, I think this might be the perfect time to flesh out an idea I’ve had for a while. Look for an update Monday next week.

Nintendo’s in trouble right now. Nintendo, I think, waited two years too long to launch a competitive, high definition console…I think by the time they did launch a console which stacks up really well, the other two guys [Sony and Microsoft] passed them by, and I think they’re in a world of trouble right now.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say Nintendo is in trouble, but they have definitely waited too long. Between the poor marketing of the Wii U, and the lack of real third party support, its h
