Andre Wilson:
I also believe EA’s strategy is sound. Our focus on our talent, our brands and
our platform together with our investment in next-generation consoles, mobile
and PC free-to-play, as part of our ongoing transition to digital, is right. But
we have plenty of work ahead to ensure our collective success.

From John Hight:
But as we’ve mentioned on different occasions, it became increasingly clear that
despite the benefits of the AH system and the fact that many players around the
world use it, it ultimately undermines Diablo’s core game play: kill monsters to
get cool loot. With that in mind, we want to let everyone know that we’ve
decided to remove the gold and real-money auction house system from Diablo III.
This is a welcome surprise. The real money auction house was an interesting

An interesting look at naming conventions in World of Warcraft. Personally, from
an early age, I've found myself becoming prejudiced against people whose
usernames began and ended in ‘x’ or included Final Fantasy or Dragon Ball names.

Ouya’s Free the Games promotion has always been such a weird promotion. Instead
of promising to just hand $50k to any kickstarter game, a better idea would have
been to actually use the money to get other developers on board and fix the
problems that currently plague the Ouya ecosystem, instead of outright ignoring
existing developers’ complaints as seen in the comments section of the blog
post.

Additionally, Chilton noted that Blizzard was warming to the idea of
reconfiguring World of Warcraft as a free-to-play title.
I’ve always wondered how long until WoW went free-to-play. With their recent
additions to their online store, and the dwindling population, I expect it’s now
only a matter of time before we see a completely free version.
