DeepDream is an a computer vision software program written by google. Using neural networks it attempts to find patterns within any image you throw at it. Being a photographer, I thought it would be fun to give it some pictures I’ve taken and see what it would come up with.


I started with the same base photo, but with settings slightly changed with every render.


Pass into the iris…Perhaps it’s just irony, or maybe it was able to recognize I had an Oculus rift headset on, and so it saw a bunch of eyes.


Fireworks can create some pretty results. From a distance they look normal, but zoom in and some interesting things start to take shape.


Abstract patterns become even more abstract.


At least it can recognize dogs.
