Blips is essentially a private twitter/note taking web app. Specifically, I built it to live blog this years’s E3 press conferences. But why not just use twitter? The idea of tweets seem so fleeting. I wanted something that I could keep organized. For example, looking at the Blips page, everything is neatly organized by event. Furthermore, All events can be saved as either private or public. In this sense, besides live blogging events and conferences, I can use Blips for taking notes and jotting down ideas for potential articles.

Blips was written in Python/Django. It’s open source and you can check out its ongoing development on Github.
